accountability for the future
Continuous reduction of energy consumption (water, electricity and gas)
To continuously reduce energy consumption by 2028 by reducing 30% of gas consumption, 50% of water consumption and 20% of electricity consumption per fermentation compared to the current level in 2023.
Sustainable jobs
By 2027, we want to promote young scientists by awarding Bachelor's and Master's theses. There should be at least one award per year, as in 2023.
Innovation: Rethinking subsidiary flows – circular economy for the future
In 2024, an average of approx. 3500 liters of liquid fermentation supernatant will be discarded per fermentation. In order to conserve resources, these side streams are to be reused in other branches of industry or reprocessed for own processes. By 2030, at least 50 % should be returned to industry.
